Who controls your data
Quietmap Studio — a trade name of Ryoko, Netherlands. KvK 99947447.
What we collect
When you buy a poster, contact us, or sign up for updates, we collect:
- Email address — so we can deliver your files and order confirmation
- Name — if you provide it at checkout
- Shipping address — if printed posters are available and you order one
- Newsletter preferences — your email and, if you request an unavailable-city alert, the validated city name you submit
Payment is handled by a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never see or store your card details.
What we collect automatically
With your consent, we collect browser usage data via Google Analytics 4 and PostHog:
- Pages visited and time spent
- Browser type and device
- Referring website
These browser analytics are only active after you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you decline, they remain blocked and no analytics cookies are set.
How we use your data
- Deliver your order (digital files by email; printed posters by post after that product launches)
- Send order confirmations and download links
- Send newsletter updates and requested city-availability notices when you sign up
- Reply to support requests
- Improve our website and products
- Prevent fraud
We do not sell, rent, or share your data for marketing purposes.
Cookies
We use two categories of cookies:
- Strictly functional — required for core site behaviour, active regardless of your analytics choice. This includes
qm_currency, which stores your display currency preference (USD or EUR) so prices are shown in your local currency. It contains no personal data and is never shared with third parties. - Analytics — Google Analytics 4 and PostHog, used to understand how visitors use our site and improve the product. These are only set after you click Accept in the consent banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage or contacting us.
We use Google Analytics Consent Mode v2 with analytics storage denied by default. The browser-based Google Analytics and PostHog scripts do not load or send browser analytics requests before you consent, and they remain blocked if you choose Deny all. They load only after you choose Accept all. You can also opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Your consent choice is stored in your browser in the tarteaucitron cookie. You can change it from the footer Cookie settings link, or reset it by clearing browser data.
How long we keep your data
- Order data — as long as required by tax and accounting law
- Newsletter email and city request — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them
- Analytics — anonymized, retained per Google Analytics defaults
Your rights (GDPR)
You can ask us to:
- Access your data — we will send you a copy
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Export your data in a standard format
- Object to processing

Security
All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Payments are processed by a PCI-compliant provider. We limit access to personal data to what is necessary to run our service.
Children
Our site is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

If we update this policy, we will post the changes here with a new date.
